Phil was a much loved husband, father, brother, friend, Vintner and Master of Wine; who has gone far too soon.

Phil was a kind, generous and loyal man, passionate about everything he did. His lifelong love of tigers resulted in WWF being the organisation of choice for anyone who'd like to make a donation in his memory.

He became an MW in 1999 and established Hatch Mansfield with colleagues, where he was an integral part of the organisation for more than 30 years. He loved cricket, squash, mountains, walking (fast!) and was a keen cyclist having been following the 2023 Tour de France in the days before his tragic accident.

He was a brilliant friend and his sense of humour meant he had the ability to laugh at himself. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, most especially by Kate and Felix.
