Martyn loved to lead his family and friends into adventures in nature.

Martyn Cartmell passed away on April 1st 2022. He asked that in lieu of flowers, you donate to his favorite charity, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

Martyn loved nature and always chose to live in the most remote places possible. He built and lived in a brilliant eco-house where he grew all his own vegetables. He loved walking on unchartered paths, watching the butterflies, and he loved flying on his paraglider over the cliffs with the birds. However, his daily highlight was marveling over the beautiful sunset.

The WWF mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. A mission close to Martyn’s heart.
