"If we show the will , nature will find a way ."

Lawrence's love of sport, all sport (although admittedly predominantly the one involving a small, leather ball) could only be diminished by the wonder and awe with which he regarded the Natural world. A vociferous ambassador for threatened flora and fauna alike . He spoke with extensive knowledge, cultivated from years of devouring wildlife documentaries, journals and texts , coupled with an innate scientist's observational ability to apply his acquired intellect in the field.

Put another way, if he knew a random fact, like it or not, you got to learn about it too. What's more, the more bizarre or random the fact, the better he liked it!

Now, we had thought to immortalise Lawrence's memory by selecting one of his niche projects ... for example, the rare and elusive spiky Yellow Woodlouse of the distant UK territory on the South Atlantic Ocean Island of St Helena ... but it seems we were pipped to the post by a rather successful conservation project that has seen Spiky's numbers recover!

Instead therefore, we have turned our attention to the World Wildlife Fund. We hope to honour our very own custodian of the imperilled and endangered by asking that , in memory of "Law the Legend" , we leave a legacy via your donation that can contribute in its collective capacity to help save the "World About Us" . A world that so enthralled and captivated him. It would be his proudest achievement in a life lived less ordinary. Thank you on his behalf from his incredibly proud family xxxx
