Dad was blessed with a loving family and friends. His devotion to Mum was heartwarming. He never got over losing her, 21 years ago.

Every person he met has a memory of him, whether it was a short meeting or a lifetime of knowing him. He was always a Grenadier Guardsman, you never leave that service.

Dad found great joy in his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their friends also loved him.

He has continued to support the WWF as Mum had been a keen supporter, she had a real love of Oran Utans and Dad had a picture painted by a local artist of one, as a present to her.
