Passionate about travel, polar bears and climate change, Michael is the ultimate "chap-from-next-door Arctic Circle Explorer".

Forever travelling in the cold, snowy depths of northern Norway and Svalbard, the pinnacle of his bucket list was a trip to the North Pole in 2013.

The thousands of photographs and videos from his travels became the source for his start up business, "Nordman Productions". He forgot, however, that to run a business, that you have to stop travelling for a moment!

He will be missed by his family, and by the many friends he made on all the cruise lines he loved, the tall ships, and his travels in the Arctic Circle.
