Musician, chef, engineer, teacher, nature lover, traveller

Husband, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, step-dad, friend

Jon loved seeing and hearing the nature all around us, both in the UK and in the many countries we visited together. The small wonders of the countryside where we lived, the snowy magnificence of the mountains where we skied, and the raucous magic of the rainforests we saw, lit up Jon’s nature-loving soul.

He spent time learning to dive and he was fascinated by the multitude of fishes, turtles and corals he saw under the ocean, but this also made him acutely aware of the rapid changes impacting our planet and all living things.

Plastics in the oceans, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and, ultimately, climate change, were all concerns for Jon and we made a number of changes to our own lifestyles to do our bit. The idealist and the engineer in Jon believed we could fix these problems and that it’s up to each of us to try.

Jon was a long term supporter of WWF and he passionately supported their mission to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together. Over the years we sponsored orang-utans and elephants having seen various rescue projects in Borneo and Malaysia.

We hope you will join us in keeping Jon's passions alive and supporting WWF in its essential conservation work, to preserve our wilderness and reduce human impact on the environment.
